Chapter II: creating a mood
When creating a film, ideas are key. A mood board is an excellent way to gather and explain those ideas through an expressive medium.

I love the idea of focusing on the still and quiet atmosphere in the basement. One way of doing this could be through the use of emulating gathered CCTV footage. This footage could flicker from one place to the next, giving a build up of the whole area and playing with the concept of altering what becomes familiar.
As an idea of how this works, check out the 'Five Nights At Freddies' blog post under the 'experience' tab , or click here to go to it directly.
Another approach is to use found footage as an exploration. The CCTV idea is interesting but it does have serious limitations to it. Being able to move through the space is capable of creating a far more detailed exploration of the area. Furthermore, it will have a much less detached feeling than the CCTV idea.
Found footage gives the film a person to invest in. This can be taken further though. In the film The Blair Witch Project, we are introduced to characters, but I am intrigued in the idea of removing the character. If there is no physical character then the audience may begin to associate the person behind the camera with being themselves.
