Taking a slight twist from the nature of my film, I have edited together a music video of the song 'Boom' by the band 'Rattle'. It was an experiment with combining music with video. I chose to film myself eating during a lunch break at work. The song has a repetitive rhythm to it and the singing provided similar repetition. This reminded me of the idea of people going to work everyday and repeating the same processes. The song does however provide quite an upbeat feeling to it which I like. I thought it would be fun to juxtapose this with the slow eating of my fruit.
The video also experimented with timing too, choosing specific parts of the music to trigger parts of the video, and then flipping this over at the end when the video runs over past the music, almost like added footage.

I have also experimented with using iMovie to join together pieces of footage, as opposed to one long piece of video. I have also experimented with using some of the iMovie transitions and special text effects too. It can be seen below.
Although I think I prefer the first music video for the approach to the video, I do like the effects applied by using iMovie. It will be interesting to experiment with more effects going forward, especially in my final film.
